holiness is the only adventure!

Scripture

In Sacred Scripture, “the Father who is in heaven comes lovingly to meet his children, and talks with them” (Dei Verbum). If we want to hear Him, and to enter into that conversation of love, all we have to do is read.

You can read the entire Bible in one year, month by month, by giving just a few minutes each day to God’s word. You’ll be surprised at how much you will learn, and how much of the Bible you will get through day by day.  Here are the daily readings for the entire year:

Bible reading plan

This plan also includes daily readings from the Catechism.

You can also read the Gospels by subscribing to flocknote, who will email you a few Gospel verses each day, until by the end of the year you have read all four Gospels, almost without trying! The Bible they use is the Ignatius Bible, perhaps the best bible available right now, with a really helpful and accurate commentary.  The Ignatius Bible is also available as an app on Google Play.
